Celebration of Life for our founder, Irene Milton
Christie’s Place is hosting a Celebration of Life for our founder, Irene Milton, on Monday, June 5, 2023. Irene passed away on Friday, April 14. She leaves behind a legacy of fierce advocacy and boundless love for the clients and communities served by Christie’s Place.
There will be an open house from 4-8 pm, with a non-denominational service beginning at 6 pm. Light food and beverages will be provided. Please RSVP to 619-702-4186 and mention the Irene Milton event. Names and contact information are not required to RSVP. In lieu of flowers and gifts, Irene’s family requests donations be made to Christie’s Place.

Change 4 Women (C4W) increases the statewide impact of programs for women of color living with HIV/AIDS through the development of best practices for service delivery, as well as the creation of coordinated networks of highly skilled providers who can deliver direct services in trauma-informed, gender-affirming ways.
Christie’s Place’s Ryan White Part A HIV Coordinated Services Program for women, children, infants, youth, and families successfully helps women and families impacted by HIV in San Diego.
Christie’s Place has developed a model of trauma-informed behavioral health and social service provision that has drawn heavily from over 25 years of experience working with women, children and families impacted by HIV
Christie’s Place is the only agency in San Diego whose mission is dedicated to serving women, children and families whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Since it opened its doors in 1996, Christies Place has been a place for women and families to receive support in their journey with HIV. It offers a range of counseling, therapy and support services from a trauma informed perspective. Christie's Place also offers women, children and families community and hope, a safe refuge for healing and growth.
