Our Services

Healing Hope

Healing Hope is a project to encourage a cultural shift in harmful narratives that enable HIV-related stigma to persist. We are addressing the visibility of women living with HIV through storytelling. We are pleased to present excerpts of this project here.

Capacity Building Services

Christie’s Place has developed a model of trauma-informed behavioral health and social service provision that has drawn heavily from over 25 years of experience working with women, children, and families impacted by HIV as well as from leaders in the field of trauma-informed care including SAMHSA and the Office on Women’s Health.

Change 4 Women (C4W) Program

Change 4 Women (C4W) increases the statewide impact of programs for women of color living with HIV/AIDS through the development of best practices for service delivery, as well as the creation of coordinated networks of highly skilled providers who can deliver direct services in trauma-informed, gender-affirming ways.

HIV Coordinated Services Program

Christie’s Place’s Ryan White Part A HIV Coordinated Services Program for women, children, infants, youth, and families successfully brings women and families impacted by HIV in San Diego out of isolation, provides mutual support, and ensures timely entry, access to and retention in the full continuum of HIV care and treatment.

Trauma Informed Care

Christie’s Place began integrating trauma-informed care into their program after realizing the high degree of need among their clients. Developed as a guiding philosophy, the ongoing and dynamic structure of the Christie’s Place model of trauma-informed service provision was influenced by training and technical assistance from the Office on Women’s Health

Resources

With the full implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) many Ryan White clients will gain access to health insurance or see their current health insurance improve. These transitions will require thoughtful and careful coordination between the Federal government, State and local governments, Ryan White Program grantees, and clients.
