Ashley J Middleton is an American Sign Language interpreter who has been actively thriving and a part of the HIV community since her diagnosis in 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Applied Psychology from the University of Phoenix along with four Associate of Arts degrees from Palomar College. Moreover, she continues to advance her education and is temporarily studying for her Master in the Arts of Interpretation at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. 

Since being diagnosed with HIV, she has been involved in facilitating support groups at the local and international level, a peer advocate empowering other patients living with HIV, and a motivational speaker who shares her experience in a hope of making a positive, lasting and effective input on their lives. As a womxn of Trans experience she has been involved in various human rights movements relating to social justice and believes in promoting grass-roots change from within our own communities. When not working in the capacity of advocacy or interpreting she enjoys traveling, dancing, and writing.
