Alexia is a recent MPH graduate from UCSD. She previously worked as a Patient Navigator at UCSD’s Owen Clinic, assisting recently-diagnosed and out-of-care patients with social services to improve retention in treatment. Through her experience of working in HIV-related services, she has met many clients from Christie’s Place and has witnessed how the services empower women to build self-resiliency and advocacy. In her spare time, Alexia likes to cook Mexican food, attend spin class, and create nail art. If her life was a book, it would be titled “Take Up Space.” Three words that describe Alexia are compassionate, funny, and determined.
