Veronica comes with 8 years of experience in the HIV community, being diagnosed with HIV in 2016. She first heard about Christie’s place through volunteer work with the HIV community and working at San Ysidro Health as a Peer Navigator. Her completion of the Project Pearl leadership training at Christie’s Place gave her the empowerment and tools to further her involvement in the HIV community, and she has recently accepted membership with the HIV planning committee representing District 1. Also, Veronica was a scholar with the National Minority AIDS Council and represented her community of 50 plus PLWH for the past year. Veronica is committed to working with the HIV community to overcome barriers and to promote education and access to treatment and prevention efforts with compassion and commitment.
