Jennifer Lothridge

Aging and Research Supervisor

Jen (she/her/ella), is the Aging & Research Program Supervisor of Christie’s Place. In addition to her own personal experience with the love & deep connection to the legacy that continues growing at Christie’s Place, she values the opportunity to connect with, learn from & empower others walking in similar shoes as herself. Jen has over 20 years experience in Social Services dedicated to providing Person Centered Care & knowledge empowerment to individuals of all ages while having a special interest in individuals aging gracefully while seeking supportive services.

Jen is passionately embracing the opportunity of helping others forgive the unspeakable past actions that have taken place without &/or improper informed consent in the name of “Research & Advancement of Medicine”.

Especially in the Black/African American population space she shares with other women. Desiring that research participation is seen in a positive & beneficial light, promoting the importance of informed consent in a harm reduction & trauma informed way is essential. This is how helping others forgive, heal, & rebuild trust in medical spaces & opportunities of participating in clinical trials & studies are steps leading towards receiving better health care from providers. Jen’s hope is that research participation is seen in a positive & beneficial way of giving back to humanity in some instances.
